From Almeria Airport
Follow signs for the "RONDA DE ALMERIA", which means going straight across the roundabouts out of the airport. The second roundabout(with a large metal "stickman" sculpture in the middle) is also signposted N344 to Almeria...do not take this, it leads you into the centre of Almeria.
You will soon come to the E15/N340, the motorway, and you need to follow the direction to Almeria.
Once you're on this road, just follow it past El Ejido and Adra. Just after Adra, the road changes from motorway to local main road status, just stay on it.
About 12k after Adra, you'll come to the junction for Albunol, and you'll need to filter into the middle of the road for a left turn.
Take the Albunol turn off from the N340, and at this point, set your tripometer, or check your mileage.
Drive up, through Albunol until you have driven 7.4k, at which point you turn right onto the A345, signposted Albondon 10 and Cadiar 30.
Keep your eyes open for the small signs that the Spanish put to mark the distance between major junctions - these signs occur every kilometre on this road, and in the direction you're headed, will be counting down.
Your next turning occurs immediately before KM 8 according to these signs. About 800m after the KM9 sign, you will see a Darkish Yellow Restaurant called "Venta El Tarugo" on your left, and quite soon after this you will see the junction signposted to Murtas and Turon. Your tripometer will now be reading 24.6km if you re-set it when turning off the motorway.
Bear right here to follow the road to Murtas and Turon. The road surface changes quality here, and you'll know you've taken the right road if youre now a bumpier noisier surface!
At around 32 km on your tripometer, you will pass the "Cuatro Vientos Bodega and Restaurant" on your left. Its the only large established building along this road, so you won't miss it - and for confirmation, it's brick built as opposed to all other buildings along this road that are typical spanish plaster or blockwork finish.
Drive on until 33.1k, at which point you come to a T-junction and here you take the right turn to Turon.....the left here says Murtas, DON'T take it!.
Follow this road, and look out on your left for a house entrance marked by three separate white blocks/stones about 1 to 1.5k after the junction (or around 34.5k on your tripometer) - Ranchito is now the next house on the right.
Watch your tripometer carefully, you're nearly there...
You will see a "Bends in the road" sign with a speed limit of 60km on the right hand side of the road (at 35.2k if you set your tripometer), the entrance to the drive to Ranchito is immediately before this sign, on the right.
Turn off the road onto Ranchito's unmade track, and you'll go about 50m then the track curves to the right and starts to descend, you will see Ranchito just below and in front of you at this point. Follow the track and you'll arrive at the parking area....
WELCOME!!
From Malaga Airport
Leave the airport terminal or your hirecar company and follow the exit road.
Straight over the first roundabout and take the left hand lane across the flyover direction Malaga.
Follow the signs for RONDA DE MALAGA, direction MOTRIL/ALMERIA. This takes you on the motorway around Malaga City centre.
Continue on this motorway (E15/N340) until the motorway ends and the main road continues, following the road through Nerja, La Herradura, Almuñecar,Salobreña and Motril.
About 43km after Motril, take the Albunol turn off from the N340, and at this point, set your tripometer, or check your mileage.
Drive up, through Albunol until you have driven 7.4k, at which point you turn right onto the A345, signposted Albondon 10 and Cadiar 30.

Your next turning occurs immediately before KM 8 according to these signs. About 800m after the KM9 sign, you will see a Restaurant painted dark yellow called "Venta El Tarugo" on your left, and quite soon after this you will see the junction signposted to Murtas and Turon. Your tripometer will now be reading 24.6km if you re-set it when turning off the motorway.

From Granada Airport
From the airport, head for Granada on the dual carriage way. There is a filter to the right very quickly after joining the dual carriage (sign posted Santa Fe/Motril) if you do not filter off you will be heading for north Granada and not south Granada. On approach to Granada take road to Motril (It’s sort of like a by-pass system, you don’t want to go into Granada central), heading South, go past Granada and keep on this road, until you get to the new damn, where you take a left signposted to Velez de Benadaula. Immediately after crossing the damn, head towards Orgiva (not to Velez de Benadaula). Go straight past Orgiva turn off (after small tunnel) and keep heading towards Cadiar, through Torviscon until you meet a T-junction near Cadiar. Turn right, heading towards Albunol/Albondon. After approx 8km turn left sign posted to Murtas, the quality of the road surface changes here, and you'll know you're on the right road if you're now on a noisier, bumpier surface! Drive until T-junction (approx 8km) and turn right to Turon - the left says to Murtas, but don't take that.
Follow this road, and look out on your left for a house entrance marked by three separate white blocks/stones about 1 to 1.5k after the junction - Ranchito is now the next house on the right.

WELCOME!!
If you would like to do some shopping on route (strongly recommended) There is a DIA supermarket in Santa Fe - this is quite basic, or a large Carrefour supermarket (much more choice and open until 9-10pm) on the Granada bypass on the south side of Granada heading towards Motril, around junction 130/131 or 131a, it is clearly sign posted. Any problem our number is 958 064013.
